May and Junewas
mostly about Guys and Dolls - painting scenery - LOTS of dice,
making/finding props and helping at the show with scenery/quick costume
changes.
It was an amazing show - as shown by these great photos/video taken by Nigel and Emma Taylor
Playing for hearts and souls - high-rolling gambler
Went to see this FAB show at Thwaites Empire Blackburn this week - great performance and so funny!!
Well done guys!!
Been a great week for business too - gained a new client and a new team member yesterday so I'm delighted - got a busy weekend catching up with the admin now.
Missing eldest son who is away for the weekend but looking forward to pizza making tonight with youngest son and his sleepover friend - lots of anchovies on mine please boys!
Catching up on my
blogging! Easter Bunny has been and gone - had a really nice Easter
Sunday lunch with my family. Then had an impromptu visit from in-laws
last weekend so the children scored double on the pocket money front!
(Having also managed to blag 'Easter Money' out of me as they are 'too
old' for Easter Eggs - but they somehow still got eggs too - I am waaay
too soft!).
All this parental visit activity even prompted me to paint my lounge which is now a very 'fresh' shade of green - it has badly needed doing for a long time - I'm quite happy up a ladder painting stage sets but never seem to get around to painting my own home - stage sets are far more fun!
We had such a fun time doing High School Musical 2 in March - everybody worked so hard and the songs were FABULOUS! Can't say how much I love helping out with Valley Academy and how proud I am of all the young people performing. Seems ages ago now - bring on the next show!
Very busy week last week - two committee meetings, choir, set-painting (High School Muscial 2) , and planting a new 'edible' garden with Incredible Edible Rossendale - oh and some work inbetween ;-) - well quite a lot of work actually! Plus running round after husband who went in for Achilles tendon op on Friday. Even managed to squeeze in two Saturday nights out in a row - last week's fancy dress theme was 'Pirates' (no photo's fortunately), then Stereophonics tribute band at Artisan this Sat - need a rest now but catching up on finances and VAT return tonight - deep joy!
