Robin Hood's Bay

Annual trip to Robin Hood's Bay with great group of friends - this part of the North Yorkshire coastline is one of my favourite parts of the world.  I spent many happy childhood holidays here and love to revisit old haunts - ambling round the old cobbled streets of Whitby, climbing the 199 steps to the abbey - and this year sought out Sophie's bench @sophielancasterfoundation.

Holiday time

Managed to sneak some time away on holiday to Majorca - great hotel, fabulous pool and right next to a lovely beach - perfect - a week was too short though : (

Also number one son got a fab set of GCSE results (BRGS here we come) and number two son became a teenager - where does the time go?

Crawshawbooth Family Fun Day

 

 Great day at Crawshawbooth family fun day - lots of family entertainment to raise funds for the pre-school which was flooded last month.

I had a fantastic night last Saturday at the Valley Academy annual awards night - we laughed, we cried and we sang along to some wonderful entertainment from some very talented young people (we weren't actually meant to sing along but we couldn't help ourselves!).  Then we watched them all get their richly deserved awards - and we cried some more - this truly was our very own Oscars, Valley style and what style it was too!

We had great fun at our Diamond Jubilee street party in Crawshawbooth - really great community event
